Who This Is For

Not every subscription
fits every person

Totoka Wokapa works well for some situations and is honest about where it fits less well. Read through to see where you land.

This works well if...

You are new to plant ownership

Starting without knowing which plant suits your apartment is one of the main reasons people end up with a plant that does not thrive. The quiz removes that guesswork from the beginning. You get a plant that is appropriate for your actual conditions and experience, not one that looked appealing in a shop.

You want to build your collection gradually

One plant per month is a considered pace. You have time to settle it in, learn its rhythms, and understand what it needs before the next plant arrives. People who have rushed to buy many plants at once often find the whole thing harder to manage.

You have challenging light conditions

North-facing rooms, basement apartments, heavily shaded spaces. These are environments where most plants sold in retail settings will not perform well. The quiz specifically captures this so the selections are appropriate rather than aspirational.

You want care information that arrives with the plant

Not everyone wants to research plants before they arrive. The care card ships inside the box. The information is there when you unpack it, in a format you can keep.

This fits less well if...

You want to choose each plant yourself

The selection process is curated. You describe your conditions and experience, and we select the plant. If choosing each plant individually is important to you, a subscription model may not feel satisfying.

You already have an extensive, well-managed collection

Someone with thirty thriving plants and a confident care routine has probably moved beyond the kind of guidance this service provides. The value is most clear for people who are still building their knowledge and collection.

You travel frequently for extended periods

Monthly deliveries work best when you are consistently present to receive and care for each plant. The pause feature helps, but if you are away more than you are home, the timing of deliveries becomes difficult to manage well.

What the first month typically looks like

After completing the quiz, subscribers receive an email confirming the details of their first selection. The plant ships in the same month and arrives packaged with the care card and seasonal tip sheet inside the box.

The care card is sized to fit on a shelf or windowsill near the plant for easy reference. The seasonal tip sheet covers what to watch for across the current season with all your plants, not just the new arrival.

Month two works the same way. The quiz result continues to inform selections until you update it.
